Bridal boudoir – but not as you know it

Trying to find your bridal boudoir vibe?

Congratulations, you are likely here because you are getting married and considering a bridal boudoir or art nude photography shoot. But you are struggling to find a shoot that is the right fit for you.

I’m guessing that you are a big fan of ‘The Rock & Roll Bride’ because you love all things alternative and non-traditional. Well, you’ve come to the right place for a boudoir shoot to celebrate yourself and your upcoming nuptials!

Bridal boudoir, but for yourself first

Bridal boudoir is the loveliest gift, but that being said you should always approach the shoot for yourself first and foremost. That is because when we create photos with ourselves in mind they are more authentic. What you find, beautiful, sexy, funny, quirky, interesting – is why your partner loves you and that’s what we are here to celebrate. With the added bonus that the photos will always be meaningful to you. That doesn’t mean you can’t also bring in nods to your partner or create photos that you know will make you both smile.

Multifaceted you

The way I work is not constrained to a single approach, clients often have a few themes and ideas in mind for their shoot. It’s also OK to have loads of ideas – we just prioritise what you are feeling most on the day and see what we can achieve! This is because you are a multi dimensional human, with lots of things that make up the goodness that is you – and we want to celebrate as much of that as we can.

Bridal boudoir benefits

Getting married is a pretty big deal (I’m guessing you know that!). Once the adrenaline has worn off, the planning begins in earnest. Even the simplest affairs still require a lot of juggling, family dynamic navigation and most importantly creating the kind of celebration that you and your partner have in mind. Often towards the end of it all, just as the wedding draws near, you’re feeling a little bit flat and maybe also pretty nervous!

Maybe during your wedding planning you’ve made a few too many compromises and you want to connect with yourself and re-balance. These shoots are really about some relaxed, fun ‘me’ time so you can have a space that welcomes you to be yourself.  I often have brides come in who have never had a shoot done before and are dreading the wedding photography. By the end of it the photo shoot they are feeling pumped to get in front of another camera!

Bridal boudoir is a supercharging, confidence boosting experience.  Sometimes challenging yourself to do something out of your comfort zone, can shrink some of the bigger nerves that you have. You want to strut down that aisle with deep confidence and feel the very best that you can. The goal is to enjoy your wedding day and then some.

Celebrate diversity

I bang on a lot about being your own kind of beautiful. That’s because celebrating yourself is about connecting with the things you like and make you feel good. Just because media, in the most part, has a narrow view of how women should be represented doesn’t mean you have to accept it. So take some ‘me’ time, explore – whatever YOU want. That is what we are here for!
